Serial numbers engraved between the watch lugs

During the authentication process, the watch bracelet will be removed to check the watch’s reference and serial numbers, which are typically engraved between the watch lugs covered by the bracelet end links. Newer models will have their serial numbers engraved on the watch’s chapter ring.

Inspecting the watch movement

The case back of the watch will be removed (if required) to inspect the movement and check if there is corrosion or pitting in the watch case, especially for preowned watches which may have prior water ingress issues.

The bracelet and case back will be re-installed, and a functional check of the watch will be done upon completion of the authentication.
